Technical Solutions Architect
Bus-Tech, Inc., a leading enterprise data protection hardware and software provider for large Mainframe environments, is seeking a Technical Solutions Architect. Key responsibilities will be to provide technical expertise in the pre-sales qualification cycle and deliver the strategies, technical architectural design, and plans for a sales engagement.
Essential Functions:
Must be able to identify and map customer business requirements to technical architecture solutions. Provide architectural leadership to the implementation of backup and disaster recovery. Must be responsible for overall architecture, design and technical oversight of complex business and technical initiative. This responsibility typically spans all layers of the business infrastructure. Interfaces with customer and customer executive management to define requirements and recommend solutions. Must work closely with the Account Management Team and industry partners.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Technical Experience:
Mainframe - Must have a working knowledge of operational aspects of a typical mainframe data center, and have at least 5 years working experience in various applications including DFSMS/HSM, CA-1, virtual tape systems, and automated tape libraries. Must be able to analyze mainframe TMS data and SMF records.
Open Systems - working experience with the various storage related hardware components such as arrays, switches, automated tape libraries, etc. at least 2 years NAS/SAN experience, practical experience with backup and specific tape terminology.
Must be able to travel, work independently, and communicate effectively with customers.
