Bus-Tech, Inc. Expands Their Scope in EMC Select Partner Program
MAS FX and EX Now Certified with CLARiiON
Burlington, MA - August 29, 2005 - Today, Bus-Tech®, Inc., a leading supplier of data center connectivity products announced Mainframe Appliance for Storage (MAS) is now certified to work with EMC's CLARiiON fibre channel disk platforms, thereby enabling customers to utilize high performance disk as a cost effective alternative to traditional tape backup environments. Mainframe Appliance for Storage, an EMC Select Product offering, now supports EMC's Content Addressable Storage (CAS) Centera line, Network Attached Storage Celerra line as well as CLARiiON. This suite of device support allows customers to deploy the appropriate storage infrastructure for multiple tiers of information needs and access requirements to enhance Information Lifecycle Management.
"Now that the MAS is certified with EMC's CLARiiON customers will have multiple options on where to place their mainframe data," stated Al Brandt, Vice President of Operations for Bus-Tech, Inc. "They can tailor their tape-on-disk storage needs based on cost, relevancy or regulatory requirements."
The MAS was certified in both FICON and ESCON environments with EMC CLARiiON models over fibre channel and offers significant performance improvements over IP connected storage. The MAS is now supported under EMC's Support Matrix (ESM) which allows customers to purchase the MAS directly from EMC without the need for special procurement procedures.
