Bus-Tech Mainframe Appliance for Storage (MAS)

This release is distributed as an upgrade to be applied on top of an 
existing MAS install.  As such, there is no "Full System Recovery DVD" for this
release, only a Utilities CD, which includes the update.

To apply the update, run the upgrade procedure on the existing MAS system,
using the procedure below.

To perform a full system recovery, restore from the latest Full Release
Recovery DVD, then apply this upgrade from the Utility CD, using the
procedure below.


Requirements
------------

For SR2400 Based Systems:
1. MAS with v4.04-37 or greater installed.

For SR2500 Based Systems:
1. MAS with any 5.x release installed.


Installation
------------

1) Open an administrator shell (Right-click on the desktop, select 
   'Administrator Shell', and enter the root user's password.

2) Insert the MAS Utilities CD into the CD ROM Drive.

3) Change directory to /media/cdrom/update ('cd /media/cdrom/update').
   For SR2400 'cd /media/cdrecorder/update'

4) Enter the command:
   sh mas-5.xx-xx.i586.rpm.sh
   (where "xx-xx") is the actual version number of this release.

5) The upgrade files will be installed, and then you will be prompted as
   to whether you want to reboot immediately or to defer the reboot
   for a later time. In either case, the upgrade will be completed at the
   next reboot of the MAS.

   When the MAS next reboots it will be running the new release.
