What's new in MAS SnapLock Support, Release 3.06-02S, Build 7690 (07/27/2004)

The following changes were made between MAS SnapLock Support
releases 3.06-01S and 3.06-02S:

1. The MAS application, btilxapp, with integrated SnapLock Support has been 
   updated to version 3.06-02S (Build 7690).

2. There are no changes to MAS SnapLock Support features in this
   release of MAS SnapLock Support. Refer to the MAS 3.06-02 Release Notes
   for a description of fixes/changes in the base MAS 3.06-02 release.

The following changes were made between MAS SnapLock Support
releases 3.06-00S and 3.06-01S:

1. The MAS application, btilxapp, with integrated SnapLock Support has been 
   updated to version 3.06-01S (Build 6568).

2. Fixes in this release of MAS SnapLock Support:

   a. An incompatibility with OnTap 6.5.1R1 that resulted in permanent
      retention files to be SnapLocked with an expiration date of
      12/31/1989 has been corrected.

3. Other changes in this release of MAS SnapLock Support:

   a. A new device configuration parameter SNAPLOCKEXTENTS=nnn allows 
      you to limit the number of times a Snaplocked volume is
      extended. Once a virtual tape volume reaches the configured number
      of extensions, the MAS will return an immediate Logical End of
      Volume (unit exception) to every write to that volume. The Host
      application would be expected to close this tape volume at that
      time and continue onto a new tape volume.

      Specify SNAPLOCKEXTENTS on each device on which you want to limit
      the number of extensions. Valid values are 0 through 10000. The
      default if omitted is 100.

      The MAS SnapLock User's Guide (40-02489-B0-001, June 2004) has NOT
      been updated yet to document this new feature. It will be updated
      in a future release.

What's new in MAS SnapLock Support, Release 3.06-00S, Build 6177 (05/25/2004)

The following changes were made between MAS SnapLock Support
releases 3.05-01 and 3.06-00S:

1. The MAS application, btilxapp, with integrated SnapLock Support has been 
   updated to version 3.06-00S.
   This release supports appending to SnapLock'ed virtual tape volumes.
