Installation Instructions:

1. Copy the files (fwinst and ppc2.btf) to a floppy disk.

2. If the MAS application is running, end it by entering the MAS command:
   
       exit

   Wait for the application to completely terminate before proceeding.

3. Open a terminal session - press <ALT> and <F2> keys together.
      At the Run command window type:
 
		konsole 

	and press <ENTER>.

4. Logon as root by entering the command:

       su -

   and entering the root password when prompted to do so.

5. Insert the floppy disk created in step 1 in the MAS floppy drive.

6. Mount the floppy disk:

       mount /mnt/floppy

7. Run the update script from the floppy drive:

       cd /mnt/floppy
       ./fwinst

8. When the update completes, unmount the floppy disk:

       cd /
       umount /mnt/floppy

9. The update is complete.You should get the following two messages:

Firmware Installation Script: Firmware version nnnn successfully installed.
Firmware Installation Script: Restart the MAS application to load and use this firmware.
